Our group is finally has finally completed the music video project. This project was a very interesting experience. Bringing a music video alive for one of my favorite songs was what made this project special. Researching other music videos to help us create our own. The most stressful part of this project was having to remake our storyboard after we had already started filming. Though this projects filming process was way easier compared to the filming on the commercial. The editing process for this project was not that hard it was just repetitive and got a little annoying. 6 Having to realign the recording to the lyrics just because we added a transition that was an extra 0.1 of a second. I guess this just gave us a perspective of how difficult editing can be for video production. We were able to over come all of these different obstacles and complete the music video.

THE END! (Editing Blog)

Today was our second day of editing for our music video project. I planned on finishing today and my partner also wanted to finish today. Our first period teacher was teaching anything today and wanted us to work on school related things. So me and my partner decided to us this time and work on the music video. We realized that we didn't have put any transition in the music video yet. This was kind of a problem because adding transition such as fades of dissolves will add or shorten a clips time. This would throw off how we had already synced the clips to fit the lyrics of the music. So when we added the transitions that we wanted we have to resync all the video to fir the lyrics. My partner did this part, for her it is really easy to match the lyrics with our lip syncing in the recordings. Then I went to my partners second period so we could work on the music video even more. Now it was time to add my partners clips to the video. This process was easy compared to adding the clips

Tedious (Editing Blog)

Today was the first day our editing our music video. When we got in class my partner go out the storyboard so we cold follow it to help us get the clips together. First I screen recorded the lyric video of the song "Meet Me Halfway" and then I put in on the editing app. I extracted the audio from the video and trimmed into to our desired part of the song. The first scene was the split screen scene of our to characters arguing over the phone. Making this scene was pretty simple and easy to do in the editing software that I was using. The next couple of scene were the ones that were recorded of me outside. Now the hard part was syncing up my lip syncing with the actually music. You would have to get it just right or it would look off and kill the vibe for the video. This process took a while for just one scene and was very tedious. My partner had some ideas that I wasn't really able to see for myself. So for the rest of the editing day she took over on the editing process.

Half Way There! (Filming Blog)

Today was the second day of filming for our music video. On the last day we ran into a lot of issues while in the process of filming. These issues happened because we didn't have a specific enough plan or storyboard. We ended up canceling filming and focused on fixing the major issues that we had. So going into this filming day my expectations were high for what we would accomplish. Just like the day before I arrived at my partners house around 5. The weather was complete opposite from the day before, it wasn't raining at all and was pretty clear outside. So we followed the schedule that we made on the first filming day, and we immediately started to record my scenes. We were trying to do it as efficient as possible because this time of year the sunsets at an earlier time. Sadly the sunset after about the first two scenes that are recorded of me. We already had a plan for if it got dark though. My partner brought her ring light so when the sunset we were able to record and stil

Rainy Day (Filming Blog)

Today was our first day of filming. I was excited to finally be able to make the storyboard and our ideas come to life. The location was at my partner Adriana's house. We were supposed to start with the recording of my scenes first. Almost all of my scenes are supposed to talk place outside. But when I arrived it was raining outside, so like we wrote in our planning blog we rescheduled my scene s to be recorded on a different day. Then we just got prepared to film my partners scenes, because all of her scenes are recorded inside. When we started to record we were using my speaker to play the song, so that we could follow the lyrics. But my speaker died a couple scenes in so we had to play the music from my partners phone. Also we were having trouble finishing scenes because my partner kept laughing and breaking character. We then realized slowly while completing some scenes that our idea was hollow and had little structure. So we decided that we were going to stop filming scenes a
