Filming Blog: Classroom Chaos

Image
I thought filming was going to be easy and go smoothly with no issue. Little did I know I would be very wrong. When we started our first scene, I was only helping the camera person get the right angles. We got one of our close friend that was in the higher level class to help us since she had no work to do. Once the first scene was completed, it was time for me to act in the second scene. The first several takes went horrible, because I couldn’t keep a straight face while filming. I would burst out laughing almost every take, but I knew I had to get serious. We ran into a big problem while recording. There was another group that planned to film in the exact spot that we planned on filming in. Both of our groups talked about it and the other great let us do a majority of our recording first. Then we let them do what they needed to do. Honestly both of our groups handle it nicely and made sure each other got some filming in. In one scene I had to be filmier from multiple camera angles

My group is doing a gum commercial for the brand Extra. Recent Extra commercials tend to follow a sentimental or heartwarming theme. Some trends include: · Piano music, which creates a touching moment between the people in the commercial · Usually people in close relationships or wanting to be in close relationship; this includes friends, love interests, parents, grandparents, etc. · Props include Extra gum in different flavors. Or the wrapper to the gum. They sometimes include writing a sweet message on it or drawing a cool picture, usually to bring the two people in the commercial closer together. 1. Conventions and codes in Extra gum commercials include the Extra gum pack or their distinctive silver and white gum wrapper. It also includes their slogan “Give Extra, Get Extra.” This slogan relates to the idea that gum is meant to be shared with people. Through this act of sharing, new relationships can spark. Therefore, conveying a message that if you give Extra gum, you’ll get someth
